Environment & Energy
- 50% of the energy used in our facilities comes from photovoltaic systems installed on our buildings.
- Electric vehicle charging stations are available at our headquarters to encourage sustainable mobility.
- 90% of our packaging and packing materials are sourced in Italy, helping reduce transportation-related emissions and supporting local suppliers.
- Whenever possible, we prioritize locally sourced ingredients and selected km-zero raw materials.
- We calculate the carbon footprint of selected product lines to evaluate their environmental impact and support future carbon compensation initiatives, including reforestation projects.
Responsible Formulations
- Through our Clean Care approach, we combine naturally derived ingredients with carefully selected synthetic ingredients that meet high standards of safety for both people and the environment.
- We continuously research innovative solutions that allow us to deliver high-performance cosmetic products while maintaining a responsible approach to formulation.
Water Awareness
- We actively promote conscious water consumption through our products and communication materials, helping professionals and consumers reduce unnecessary waste of this essential resource.
- We encourage more responsible beauty routines through education and product innovation.
Sustainable Packaging
- We work to minimize packaging impact by reducing unnecessary materials and optimizing both primary and secondary packaging.
- The removal of cellophane from our hair colour packaging has enabled us to save approximately 15 tons of plastic every year.
- We continuously evaluate innovative sustainable materials and lower-impact plastic alternatives for future packaging developments.
- We use FSC-certified cardboard sourced from responsibly managed forests.
- Our packaging includes material identification and recycling instructions to support proper waste separation and disposal.
Social Impact
Sustainability also means creating value for the communities around us. Through local initiatives and partnerships, we support projects focused on inclusion, education and social well-being.
- We support community projects that promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of vulnerable people.
- Through the Positive Impact City initiative in the Valceresio area, we contributed to accessible mobility services and educational programs for local students.
- We funded scholarships dedicated to sustainability and community development projects created by young people.
- We have supported local schools and institutions through the donation of sanitizing products and other community-focused initiatives.
Positive Impact City – Valceresio
As part of the Positive Impact City initiative, HSA supported projects aimed at improving quality of life, social inclusion and civic education within the local community. Our contribution helped provide a specially equipped vehicle for the transportation of elderly and disabled people through AUSER Arcisate and funded scholarships dedicated to sustainability-focused projects developed by students of the ISIS Valceresio school.
